Product Footprint


When the total C02 or its equivalents (C02e) of other Greenhouse Gasses is measured for a Product (i.e. when caused by the product) and then the value is expressed in tons of C02 equivalents for that Product, we call it the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Product Footprint. This can be termed the Carbon footprint for the Product as well, since even the non-carbon Greenhouse Gasses (such as N20) are also expressed in equivalents of C02.

Product Labeling


Based on our proposition of consumer oriented industrial shift, it then becomes a must that Products are stamped with an easily readable, yet comprehensively applicable GHG foot print indicator. This means that at the time of purchasing the Product the consumer should be clearly aware of whether the Product is Carbon Positive, Neutral or Negative and the magnitude of the effect in which ever the case. With the advent of a globally accepted Product GHG labeling convention to the market the consumer then can make a wise choice and so become a sponsor of the much needed Climate Change mitigation.
